We are pleased to announce that Hero's Guitar School now offers an instrument repair & build service.
Catering for both Acoustic & Electric guitars, the service will offer everything from basic setups such as:
Re fretting, fret polishing, truss rod adjustments. intonation & action adjustment,
instrument maintenance and electronic component repair, to the more complex:
Cracked/broken neck repair, body separation repair, handed conversion (left/right) and *full re builds.
* please note full re builds can only be carried out if the instrument is salvageable.
We also offer complete builds of both electric & acoustic guitars to your own personal specifications.
Electronics and wiring specifications are also considered & catered for.
A fully adjustable tracking document service is also provided for the client in both 2D & 3D Autocad .

Hero's (Build) Stratocaster copy built at LCETB 2016
This build (seen above) was done while studying Guitar building under the stewardship of Master Luithier Mr. Pat Beasley www.dolmencustom.com
at LTECB, Raheen, Co, Limerick, Ireland during the Summer of 2006.
The body is a 2 piece made from American swamp ash and the Neck & Fretboard are made from Maple and Rosewood respectably.
This was my first build and it has also been inlayed with a star circle & lotus leaf design hand carved from rosewood, pink ivory,
purple heart, curly maple, ebony, lime & yellow pau amerello on the rear.

Hero's (Repair)
Here are some repairs I have carried out to date on clients instruments.
Ashton acoustic (Left hand to Right hand conversion)
This beautiful left handed semi acoustic was converted for a client during the Summer of 2016.
The electronics controls were removed and re installed on the opposite side of the body. A blank was manufactured and glued in place
and the repair area was then re sprayed in metallic blue. The bridge was re set for right handed playing and a complete set up carried out
as per the clients requirements. A lovely old guitar restored for a new happy guitar player.

Yamaha 700S Neck snap repair
This acoustic guitar had it's neck snapped and was repaired for client during the Summer of 2016.
The neck was glued and then completely stripped of all lacquer before a complete re shave was carried out.
Having sat idle for over 2 years, the neck had warped so a truss rod adjustment, fret polish neck re spray was
done before it was re united with it's satisfied owner.
